Should I lube it?

1990 Mercury 2 stroke 60 hp . Should there be any lube on trigger where it slides around?

1990 Mercury 2 stroke 60 hp . Should there be any lube on trigger where it slides around? Installing new stator and switchbox, trigger checks good. Just wondering if it should be dry or lubed
