Getting ready to bolt my mercruiser transom assembly back together. Just wondering if you guys recommend putting anything on the rubber seal before i bolt it up to the boat. I used bellows adhesive to hold the seal in the the groove on the gimbal housing and that seemed to work good. should i also put some on the outside? Thanks

Assuming it's the rubber ring type seal, and IF it's a brand new seal you don't need anything on it. If it's an old seal, replace it.
The seal is not supposed to be flat.
