I would hold off as you can get a replacement from CDI for about the same $ maybe a little more if I remember right? Plus he has 9 of them :) However, shipping will be the real issue for you. Looks like thats the only bad thing about living in Australia.

They will always be around and spending 100 bucks just to save some time in case yours burns up---just doesn't compute. Now me? I have at least five of them but I buy a lot of trashed engines so I have all kinds of parts. But, that's my hobby. Recently I bought a 120 extra long shaft with Mercury ignition and the only problem was it had the lower unit cracked from freezing---75 bucks. I was going to use two pistons in my 5 cylinder 150 and then it turned out that I acquired a whole bunch of 150 parts for 100 bucks. So now, instead of parting the 120 I may just put it back together

If you are flush with money, why not buy a junker and get other parts too?
