Is this a good deal?
1992 2000 Trophy (Open Bow)
150 HP Force
72 Hours
2 Cannon electric downriggers, Lowrance Depth Finder, AM/FM Radio, 8HP Mercury Kicker, canvas top, winter enclosures.

It is in mint condition and has been in storage for 3 years. The only real question mark is the force outboard might need a water pump.

He’s asking 12,000 and I’ve offered 11 ( I wanted to offer 10 but he said he was firm on the price)

We plan to use it mostly in lakes, fishing and some skiing. We would also like to use it in the ocean as well if possible.

What do you think?
Buy, Hold, run?

Thank You.

Hello Charley, you might check nadaguides.com and decide for yourself. If you already made an offer of 11k, I'll bet you bought a boat, so enjoy it.
Are you his favorite nephew? :)

Thanks. I did not know about NadaGuides. It says 7K to 8K. BTW he is thinking about my offer of 11k. While he was thinking my offer suddenly got an expiration date, today. I was thinking he was giving me "favorite Nephew" pricing... Aparently not. Thanks again..

Re: Should I buy??

With the NADA guides, be sure to lookup boat hull, motor and trailer. If I recall correctly, all are listed separately. First one I looked up I only did boat hull and came up about 1/2 of what person was asking. Took a little to figure that one out. Also, I don't think they include accessaries (GPS, fish finder, etc.). Someone correct me if I'm remembering wrong!

BL...

Re: Should I buy??

Thanks for the tips. For this boat the guide takes into account trailer, engine and accessories. With that understanding, what percentage above the average sale price is normal for a boat in mint condition?
