If it wasn't a genuine copy of the factory manual it sure looked like it. It is called "1971 Evinrude Service Manual" and has all of the Evinrude advertisements in it for using Evinrude lubes and parts. Just looked under repair manuals under the type of motor I have. What I was saying was that I haven't found a good step by step instruction yet for Johnson or for my Mercury. I think my mercury book is confusing for the fact that they use one description in the pictures and diagrams and another in the step by step instructions.
