Re: Shortline DVD

I had just saw the preview of that DVD at some point. Is it all pro-level skiing at high-speed with a shortened ski line? I've heard Drew is a good coach, and there are some great pro skiers featured. Regardless, I find it educational and inspiring to watch ANY skiing DVDs.

Videos/DVDs are most helpful for me when they cover a lot of good principles like stance on the ski, handle position and keeping the line tight, and where to accelerate (pull), and when to stop pulling and do and edge change to begin the turn.

Let us know how it is. Hopefully you can keep your season going for a while longer in VA.
We are about done with our season in MN.

Re: Shortline DVD

I read the shortline DVD is good for skiers of any level. It is supposed to have info not just about body position but what you should be trying to do at different points in the course (maybe a little physics type stuff). I?ll let you know after I watch it. Hey, for $30 it is probably a much better investment than going to a ski school or camp. I know there is nothing like having a pro coach watch you ski. But if I watch the DVD and practice. Then go to a ski school, I should get twice the benefit out of the ski school.

I wish my season was still going! I don?t have anyone to drive even if I had a full wetsuit. You could probably ski here this time of year without a wetsuit. I am not adapted to the cold like you are up there. I have a spring-suit. I plan to get a full suit this winter. I think a 2/3mm suit should be good for Virginia.

...and you can watch it all winter long. :)

We are heading out today. Air and water are right about 50 degrees each.
Could be our last day on the water. Most of my ski buds are winterizing their boats this weekend or next, so we are about done.
