I have a 1988 110hp Johnson. I had a shorted overheat alarm and I am wondering if anyone knows if this model sends a SLOW signal to the powerpack? Could this feed back through the ignition system?<br />Just curious

I don't have a manual or that model engine handy but you can easily tell by looking at the power pack wires. If there is a tan wire coming out of the pack, then it has a SLOW system. I doubt that your engine has SLOW as that 1988 is the first year it was introduced and I think it was only on 200hp and larger engines that season.
