A friend and I took my boat out for mothers day to local Reservior. Beautiful perfect weather and everything worked fine. Was out from before Noon till 6:30pm, Caught NO fish! Lost my favorite hat (it sunk), lost my Cellphone somewhere, somehow. Worsed is yet to come. In the parking lot tie-down area, I was doing my shut-down, tiedown and unload things. I climbed out of the boat (on the side), onto the trailer fender, then onto a 10" freestanding curb, twisted my foot upward and broke my ankle. Spent last night in Emercency Room!
It's cast and crutches for me this summer! I am so P.O'd !! It was just plain stupid of me!! I have a swim step and ladder that I normally use to get in and out of the boat when on the trailer.

Man, That bites. I would be out there anyway. At least once the pain subsides.:(

Come on everyone - let's get "Nova II" back on the water. Two famous sayings 1. Where there's a will there's a way, 2. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Good luck!

Eeewwww........:eek: I can just imagine, my ankle got tender just thinking about it. Have broken ankle before, it's the worst pain in the world.

Well the doc looked at my MRI's and xRays and besides the fractures, I pulled my achilles tendon that's why I hurt so bad. Lotsa drugs and corrective surgery is coming..

I suppose with the advice of this forum one could rig up a short elevator and run the hydraulics of the Trim pumps. There is room for another PS pump on the Port engine. Never seen a wheelchair lift on a Cuddie. But WTH, seen stranger things.

Awww..man, that sucks! As long as you got a water-proof cast, you will be able to get back on the water before too long. ;)
Will=way
Good luck and get better soon.
