I just purchased an aluminum boat which came with a rather interestingly equipped shorelandr trailer..it has rollers in back followed by some short bunks then on the bottom it has a set of four heavy swiveling keel rollers. I've never loaded this boat yet and would like advice from those who have?

I've never seen the swiveling keel rollers, but my trailer has a combination of bunks and keel rollers. It makes both loading and unloading a snap, and the boat always lines right up.

Re: Shorelandr: Keel Rollers

The trailer I've got on my fiberglass boat is the venerable EZ loader full Roller
so the keel was always unsupported as designed.. everything swiveled including the cross beams so loading was just a matter of aiming and alittle throttle..the rear rollers were angled quite steep so it centered the boat even in strong current and wind, I learned to not to back the trailer down very far letting the rollers do their thing. I'm noticing many bunk trailer owners here in the NW are converting to a bunk roller I'm sure part of this is so they don't have to back in so deep. Using this new trailer will be different for me and I hope I like it as much as the EZLr.

I have two EZ Loader trailers, neither have the keel rollers at all, just the standard wobble rollers, unfortunately I load most of the time in pretty shallow water here and can't run the engine when loading, I'd ruin the prop for sure, but the boat glides right on with ease.

I'm not sure what swiveling keel rollers are? Got any pics? I don't see any such thing in their latest catalog?
