Hi all. I am in the process of buying a used boat and have some questions about shore power. One of the boats in my price range that I like does not have a shore power hookup to the boat. All I really need is when docked at the marina is 120v to run a portable ac. Can I simply buy one of adapter I've seen that convert the shore power plug to 120v and plug that single appliance into it or am I better off getting a boat that has the actual hook ups that may be in worse condition an less desirable. Thanks for any help. Todd

Re: Shore power

Check with the marina. I've read that some don't allow using an adapter to hook directly to an electrical device.
