Shopping strategy?

A few short years back, our local sales tax went up. The Christmas after that happened, I did near 100% of my shopping via the internet, the sales tax being offset by freight rates.

With the increase in freight rates due to oil costs, I'm expecting to do most, if not all, my shopping locally this year.

How much of your shopping do you expect to do via PC?

Sales tax? What's that? :p

99% of the things I buy come from ebay. There's no reason to pay retail prices for anything anymore.

shopping for what? I don't go to the store unless I have something to buy that I think I can't live without, and, I coitanly don't look around for something else to buy. ;)

Re: Shopping strategy?

That's an interesting question BoatBuoy...

I typically shop EBay first before I go anywhere else. It greatly depends on the item I'm looking for.

If I'm buying new, I will always look on the net first and then compare prices locally.
Since I live about 20 miles from town... I weigh the difference in gas and my time vs. having it shipped to my door.

Sometimes it's cheaper to get locally, and sometimes it isn't. Again, it all depends on what you're after.

So I guess I'd have to say... I do most of my shopping on the net.

H.

Most online shopping requires a credit card. Nobody in this world would be foolish enough to give me a credit card.

My Christmas shopping strategy is that my wife does it in the late summer/early fall. Makes life easier, she likes to do that stuff, I am one of those last minute types for the most part. We mainly buy local with some internet purchases.

PayPal will give a debit card to just about anyone. :D (and most people qualify for 1.5% cash back on all purchases)
