So recently picked up my 3.0 short block from machine shop. They were supposed to drill and tap the crank for balancee install. I discovered now a couple weeks later they never did..my fault for not checking when i picked it up. Now i am going to call him up.but wondering if its worth it now that the bottom end is already assembled? Should i flip it on the back side of the crank and drive it on or go through the trouble of bringing it back and having it done?

You could just warm it up in an oven and tap it on.

Just got off the phone. He feels its not worth the trouble to take apart. So I will attempt to drive it on..warming sounds interesting..
