After reading some posts about Ring free I desided to shock my F-150. I have 435 hours, mostly trolling. What I am not sure about is, how much shocked gas to run through the engine. Should I use a spare tank or go through the boats tank ? I'll be doing a 450 hour service soon , so I'll be changeing my oil any way.

Thanks for your help

Re: Shocking my Yamaha 07 F-150

You could run about 16 gallons of gas through it with one ounce of Ringfree per gallon, that would be a pint of Ringfree. I run a "deposit prevention" dosage of about an ounce per 6 gallons of gas all the time and it really works! Before you run it through your motor, remove each spark plug and look into each cylinder with a flashlight, then check it again afterwards for results. I also switched to the Pennzoil 100% synthetic a few years ago and it really burns clean with very little smoke. We do a lot of slow speed and trolling and motor never "loads up" or fouls a plug and my motor is a 90HP 2 stroke premix, 1999 model. Good Luck!
