Use Yellow freight, Wrap it and strap it to a pallet. Call 1-800 go yellow, get a rate quote from point a to point b. You tell them you have got 1 skid to be dropped off at the distribution center nearest you with an approxamate weight. ( keep in mind they are not going to weigh the skid ) They will take it off your vehicle and load it on a trailer. Great rates no haz mat. Orlando Fla to denver 110.00 I work for this company and they do a good job with stuff like this.
Thanks

Re: Shipping a used outboard

Hi Kent,
iboats shipped hundreds of used outboards all over the country last month alone on other carriers. We have talked to some Yellow reps but I am not sure if they were the right people to talk to in your org. Please give us a call 1-800-569-1686 and ask for Ben (our VP of Business Dev) to make sure that we are dealing with the right people in your company. We ship an incredible amount of motors and heavy parts. Hope we can do more business with you.

Best Regards,
Admin5

Re: Shipping a used outboard

Hi admin5
Let me just clear up one error. The phone no to call from any where in the united states or around the world is 1800-610-6500
Yellow spent millions to have just one toll free no to call to make it easy to do buisness with them. That phone no calls just one location located in central Iowa.
You can also go to yellowfreight.com for a really simple to use web site and not talk to anybody and use the internet to do the whole thing. I called viking warine in tampa to inquire about a motor, He told me that he used yellow for many years, always got it there undamaged for the best price. Thats when i told him i am mechanic at the kcm terminal. Witch is what sparked me to let you people know on this board. They trully are very easy to do buisness with.
Kent
