I represent the Marine Industry Education Foundation, Inc. A 501 C-3 corporation located in Palm Beach, Florida. We are looking to purchase a vessel that will be incorporated into our unique public school Marine Technology Academy educational programming for use by high school students in the Marine Technology Program. This programming is supported by numerous county, local and state organizations as well as the Marine Industries Association of Florida and Palm Beach County. We have listed information about the needed boat below. We are seeking everyones help to locate a unique vessel that can become part of this Nation Science Foundation award winning program. Please help us in locating this vessel and become a part of creating an interesting and fun way of educating our youth about the wonderful world of the marine environment.<br /><br />-------------------------------------------<br />A 501 C3 charitable corporation located in Palm Beach County, Florida is seeking a unique USCG certified 40 passenger, shallow draft vessel in good operating condition to become part of a unique public high school Marine Technology Academy education program currently in operation in the Palm Beach County School District. The vessel will act as a floating classroom to teach vessel maintenance, be used to conduct scientific research including bathymetry, muck deposit and sea grass surveys of Lake Worth Lagoon in Palm Beach County and will serve on weekends as a public tour vessel providing the public with Eco-Tours of the Palm Beach County coastline. We would prefer an all fiberglass hull pontoon vessel; outboard or diesel powered, but will consider all offers.
