Reverse had a tendency to pop out of gear while reversing, keeping pressure against the lever helped. Now it has developed that it won't quite drop far enough into gear and is right on the edged of "grind". I have a 25hp 4 stroke bigfoot SR # OT503958. How to adjust?
The Service Manual shows a lock nut up inside the cavity under the zinc trim tab, no clear explaination how this is related but it is in the "Lower Unit" section at the area I would anticipate a clear explaination on adjustment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
