Theres broken wires on the trim switch. External of the box. Is it possible to extend wires under trim panel and pull new wires and solder and heat shrink onto switch? Thanks

If the broken wires are external are they long enough to strip, solder and heat shrink?

Or do you want to run new wire up to the switch? Take off the handle and have a peek at the switch wires. Keep in mind that if the wires pull out, a good part of the control may need disassembly to snake wires back in.

I've seen older boats that had the trim/tilt rocker switches on the dash. Not as convenient as throttle thumb trim controls, but it gets the job done...if you give up on your control.
