Hi trying to adjust my 3.0 lx engine and shifter, but the shift cable slide set screw .....

Selco says the set screw should be set screw to

Seloc 1 /4 turn out

Service manual 1/8 turn out max..

which is correct and does it matter ?

Thanks

seloc manuals are full of mis-information and wrong information. generally they are not worth the paper they are printed on.

factory manual was written by the people the designed the motor.

have you looked at the write-ups in the stickies?

Seloc makes firestarters, hand wipes and knee pads, but not service manuals...

Once you've read the seloc, you know what not to do....

As already said, snug it up, then back it off just enough to allow it to rotate freely on the wire. Lock the screw in place right there... You're looking for as little end float as humanly possible...

Chris....
