Everyone,
I was removing my lower unit on my 2002 50 hp mercury 2 stroke to replace the impellor, after finally getting the drive shaft removed from the crank (by putting a wrench between 2 steel plates and prying it apart) the shift shaft is preventing the lu from falling, I can spin the prop easily and csn tell when it goes into the crank. I have been trying to pry it it apart but looks like I am bending the bar that runs underneath the engine it's connected to. So It's def stuck, anyone have any suggestions?
