well i just keep going from one problem the next. oh well, someday i will be hip. anyways.

boat listed below. shift cable adjment first. put in full forward. disconnect both remote and lower shift cable. 1 3/8" for the core wire on lower shift cable. 5 7/8" for the brass barrel to the center of the stud hole, lower shift cable. install to bottom of slot. prop lock counter clockwise in fwd. slide stud up slot to get reverse and tighten down, prop lock clockwise. still in rev. adj. brass barrel on remote to get barrel and stud to mate, also pull on it. install it and end . problem is intermitantly the shift interupt switch is acutated by the cam. ususally in rev. or i don't get rev. (no prop lock clockwise) when the cam is centered on the shift interupt switch.
lower shift cable moves not to freely. certainly not with two fingers or easeily. thinking i need to R&R lower shift cable. or maybe shift shaft bushings.
is that the proper diagnoisis? and proper way to adj. the cables?
