Shift mechanism stiff

Can you and if yes how can i pull apart my shift nechanism on my bravo 3? Port shifter is stiff and thought it was the cable but i took outdrive off and actuated cable and its smooth and easy so its got to be on drive side.

If your sure it`s in the drive, get a pair of needle nose and operate the shift slide. It should be fairly easy to move in and out

Bravo's don't like to shift unless the input shaft is turning

Its still stiff. Other side isn't stiff, shiftable but makes it more difficult to do fine maneuvers using gear shifts.
