Hello All,
I have a 1981 MC1 outdrive, on a 120 package, in a four winns marquis 170.

Having shift problems/stalling going in and out of geer. found stripped/worn lower shift cable mount ( eye end/adjustable slot )
I am replacing the bolt with the nut attached on it top and bottom threaded (part 47) / that goes into the slot on the shift arm (part 45), and the Tnut (part 49).

The Tnut, has a ridge/stop half way through, is this correct??

sorry a bout the external reference... best diagram I could find.

See linked diagram and or photo

No that nut should be threaded clear through. I just checked my 95 rinker, it uses the same nut (11-63341) and it's threaded thru. Sounds like some one sold you one which was defective

Well, got it back together, and seems to have done the trick, that and a bit of white litho on the cables.
Then, started to have an idle problem, on to the next issue....
...Think I have the idle issue thought, lots of crud found in the strainer in the carb, and pulled and cleaned the idle circuit needles.. thanks for the help
