I just put a different motor in my 85 seaswirl 22’ cuddy with mercruiser 5.7 replaced with a low hour one I found that had hull damage and was parting out. It has a Mallory unilite distributor and it runs beautifully but I found it was impossible to get in neutral or reverse Without shutting it down. This is where I searched the forums and learned how important the interrupter switch is. My question is: it had the thunderbolt IV ignition. So can I hook the green white wire From the stock interruptor switch to my coil negative ?

You can repost this in the MerCruiser forum. You could also look for a wiring diagram and see how it is supposed to be wired.
