Just for the purpose of removing any potential issue to a non starting engine, what's the best way to disable/bypass the shift interrupt switch ( temporarily) Should it be disconnected or should I connect the two wires together? Thanks.

looks like a thunderbolt type . at the dist you have a White W/red and White W /green plus a another White W/ green going to the shift plate, remove that at the shift plate or at the dist post
Although a bad tack will also kill the engine spark, its the grey wire at the neg side of the coil going into the main harness,NOT the one going to the module

Thanks for that. I have the taco wire sorted and factored in to my no start issue. Just needed to clarify the kill switch. Thanks again.
