shift cable

on mt 120 l-drive the shift cable is stiff or a little hard to shift from n,to d,or reverse.is there any way i can put a hole in it and put in some oil in it,it is the cable

Bob, its time to put a cable in it..that cable runs from control box all the way to the lower unit....they bind up frequently.
