Hi all, just got to say great forum!
i'm having a problem with shifting..After reading the posts on here about shift cables...

i am refitting a boat i bought and fitted a 200hp MR mercruiser into it.
All was going great till i found out about this shift cable problem!
(no one mentioned it or while i was fitting the leg i would of replaced it) Now, the boat is in the water and don't have a trailer so before a go down the route of having to rip the leg off i thought i'd hand my problem over to you to see if i'd missed something??
When i first started shifting it kept cutting out, so went back to the manual adjusted it and out the the say 10 times from forward to neutral to reserve it cut out about 4 or 5 times...new cable time or something i'm missing??
i heard that have the revs to high would make the shift switch stall (revs around 650-700?

The reason for the post is if it kept cutting out i would just replace the cable but it's not all the time so just makes me wonder?

Many thanks Paul UK...
