shift asist module,

after checking several things at my 1991 4.3l omc v-6 motor we think that we may need the shift asist module but can't find it anywhere, so can anybodie please tell me what i can do to find it or replace it with something else that will make my motor start again?

So what makes you think its your ESA(shift module) causing the problem? Did you disconnect the ESA(you can just unplug it)and your engine started without it? If you haven't done that, you could be wasting money on an ESA.
