I recently started a Chrysler M440 that has been sitting for 10 years. I hooked up a hose the a muff that fits underneath the boat at the intake grill. It ran for about 20 seconds and I turned it off. There was no water flow. I pulled the thermostat and the water pump and the were all dry. There was no water in the engine since it has been sitting. It has a Sherwood D-55 dual pump. My question is does the pump need to be primed
