I was planning on going shark fishing sometime....not really trying for anything huge but maybe like 4 footers....i was gonn try to catch bonita and and doing what the blue heron does bouncing their head off the side and then they throw them in and i seen bull sharks eating them...i want to try the same thing except put the bonita on my hook...just wondering...i have a penn 6/0 and a stff enough rod...is the 6/0 big enough and also i have a 24'8" wellcraft....im guessing the boat is big enough but i just want to make sure...

You are in good shape for sharks. I've fished in a 17' CC with a Penn 60 and 65 Long Beach both strung with 30 lb mono and caught sharks up to 5' or 6'. Trick is to use a long(at least 4') steel leader. Set up your drag correctly and have a stout gaff to grab it boatside.

you would have a to hook into a real monster to be outgunned with a 6/0. just chase it with the boat if its peeling too much line off.
