Shallow Drive Link

I have a 1987 J30ELCUB that does not have a shallow drive link installed. Best I can tell from a parts breakdown there is only one part that I need. Does anyone have some info on this that could assist? Below is a link to the breakdown I am looking at.

Well primarily becaue I'mnot all that sure that the link is the only part needed? There are two listed one for $18 and one for $30?? Also I have an older 9.9 that carries the same part number perhaps I can switch them?

I'd print out a copy of the parts break down and then go to the mtr and see what's missing or broke.
