I AM BUYING A NEW ENGINE AND THEY ASK ME WHAT SIZE DO I HAVE ,IS 20 INCH OR 25 INCH. <br />HOW DO I FOUND MY SHAFT SIZE ON MY MERCURY?....

Frogy.... Measure the height of the transom at the center (right where the engine would sit), from the top of the transom to the bottom of the boat (keel).<br /><br />15" (roughly) is Short Shaft.<br /><br />20" (roughly) is Long Shaft.<br /><br />25" (roughly) is Extra Long Shaft.
