I have seen several articles and forums talking about the shaft lenght of an outboard motor...How is this measurement taken and what measurements determines a "short shaft" vs a "long shaft". Probably a dumb question to you old timers but boating is a new venue for me..therefore any and all info is greatly appreciated,
