Shaft Caps!

Any one have a idiot proof method of removing the caps on the end of the trailer roller shafts. Short of cutting them off? Don't care if I destroy them new ones are cheap. It is the time element. Like to hear some methods that have sped it up.

Last time I did it, I took a small wrecking bar, put the bent tip against the back side of the caps and rapped the back of the bar smartly with a ball pein hammer. Worked a treat.<br /><br />I've also used one of those flat bars when I didn't have enough space, levering the cap off, using the roller bracket for leverage.
