Has anyone been fishing near the waters at Portsmouth, NH. If so what is currently running Shad or Strippers

Stripers and shad should be running now or very shortly!!!<br />your best bet is to start trying your favorite spots now!!!!

No limit, but minimum size (age?) on strippers. <br /><br />Now shad, there's a stress reliever if there ever was one.

No stripers yet, maybe in a couple weeks the Schoolies will be. About another month for the cows. Are they up to Cape Ann / Plum island yet Flyrod?

Schoolies in the Piscataqua right now. No keepers being caught yet, not even at the Ilses of Shoals. Flyrod said the cows aren't quite up to him in Gloucester yet.<br /><br />I'm itchin too!!!<br /><br />P.S. No "strippers" in NH, gotta go down to Mass for that.

We don't have stripers here, but there are lots of shad entering the Columbia (35-40,000+ per day over Bonneville the last couple of days and they're just starting). They're fun to catch and make good crab and sturgeon bait...any other use for them?

Shad are now going up the Columbia @ 125,000/day+...and they say only 1/3 are counted; the rest go up through the locks.<br />You back-east guys still haven't told me what you do with them.
