I will buy a boat that need some caring, interior is quite sunky but price is interesting...

The real problem will be to repair a hole under the boat its about 3 feet long and one feet wide and was caused by an impact when taking off trailer and put in sea, the place is under the captains chair

Idont have pictures yet but will upload asap i have them.

My plans; remove the chair and carpet take my electrcal saw machine put in cutting depht to 1" and make a rectangular cut for making repair from above possible put in 3-4 layers with fibreglass.

Will there be any stringers or foam in that area?

Is this the way to go or would it be better to make the repair from underside?

Regards

You probably get better answers up in the restoration section. I did own a 1987 17 Seville there is a lot of wood in that boat, you need to check it very carefully before you buy up more than you can chew, :D, there is wood in the transom, wood stringers, wood floor, in other words you may have to totally rebuild the boat before use and that would be a major project, course if you are up to the challenge go for it, just know what you are getting into before you start.
