Setting the air mixture

I own a 1995 140c yamaha oil injected 2 stroke I'm having trouble with the mixture screws backing themselves off all the time .I have had it to be fixed twice now but at $85 a throw it's a bit dear I was wondering if someone new the settings for the mixtures so I can reset them myself .......Can anyone with the same engine that is running o.k give me there mixture setings to try .. or even the factory settings for this engine would be great.. <br /> reguards Bill

Next time you have it adjusted, or if they are in adjustment now, simply turn them in till they lightly seat and count the turns. Then reset them to where they were.

Hello<br /> cannot help you much from here. the 140 is not avalible in the states so none of my manuals cover it. I would start about 1 1/4 turns open and it should be close. turn them in 1/8 at a time until the speed at idle lowers then back out about 1/4 turn. are the anti vibration springs still on the needles? if they are the next time you get them set place a drop of OMC adhesive M or yamabond or 3M weatherstrip adhesive on the screws.<br /> Good luck and keep posting :)
