Setting rolling torque without proper gauge

I just replaced yoke seal in alpha gen 2. No access to rolling torque gauge and no shops near me have one. I bought a torque screw driver calibrated from 0 to 30 inch pounds. Tightened pinion nut to the point where rolling torque on bearings would click screw driver at 4 inch pounds and not click it at 6. Would this method be an acceptable substitute for having a proper rolling torque gauge. Aiming for 5 inch pounds as I re-used bearings. Thanks

Not that critical, I've done plenty just by feel. Not too loose, not too tight. You want to feel a slight drag when rotating

I use an in-line digital shipping scale and a section of twine

You might be best served to get yourself a rolling torque gauge . . .
