Setting Idle Speed

My Mercury runs fine but it seems to me the idle is way to low sometimes it will stall out. It really needs to be set higher. Well I can't seem to figure out how to do this and I don't want to start mucking around with stuff under the clam shell with no real idea of what i'm doing.

Thanks Much, Dan

Re: Setting Idle Speed

The shop manual for your motor describes the link and sync procedures. I suggest that you get the manual and perform all of the link and sync steps. In general, it is better to perform/check all of the link and sync settings, rather than just tweaking the idle screw setting, because each link and sync step is dependent on the previous steps all being correctly done.
