The fluid was a dark tan, but did not appear water contaminated. I don't see any way to drain and clean out other than by disassembly, which is listed as "Difficult" in my shop manual. So how about I open the cap, run it all the way down, catching the spillage in a pan, then go back up while adding fresh fluid as it rises. Put the cap back on, and run it up and down 3 times to "mix" the old and new fluid. Repeat this 4 times to get most of the old fluid out, and topping it off at full up-tilt when done. Problems? Dangers?
