Service Manual 1984 90 HP Mercury

I could use some help and guidance on finding a service manual for a 1984 90 HP mercury outboard 6 cylinder engine. My brother in law just bought and I'm trying to help him out with checking everything out but would like a service manual to go by. I have heard it was called the tower of power. It is a 6 cylinder with s/n 6515958 if I have the right one. I appreciate any help to find a OEM manual if possible. Thanks

A Mercury service manual is best. I do not have a link to one, for that old of a motor. See if you can buy one on fleabay.

I would expect that motor to be a six cylinder inline motor, with 3 carbs and six coils. The inline six motors up until 1979 1/2 had distributor ignitions and a single coil, so make sure your manual have the models after that date.

Thank you for the reply Scott, yes I have look on that site but it doesn't say what year the book cover, I don't know if their book covers 1984 90 hp inline 6.
