Bit of dunce when it comes to this stuff so...can i hook up two deep cell battery's in Serial/Parallel Connection for extended use..If so can i use two different brand's...Or an i going down the wrong path here. The application is simple enough just a audio system and some secondary electrical stuff

Re: Serial/Parallel Connection

Yes you can. Are you looking to increase the size of your bank or increase the voltage to 24v

This is a pretty good explanation.

Parallel will double your capacity (I have t group size 27 batteries each rates at 100amps I have 200 amps in the bank between the two batteries)

Series will double your voltage (used for trolling motors)

Connecting Batteries in Series or Parallel

Ayuh,... In Series Doubles the Voltage,...

In Parallel increases the amperage available, at the same voltage,...

Yes. Hook them up red to red and black to black. You will double the capacity of your bank and stay at 12V
