hey i hope someone can help me here i need a serial number for my motor and can not seem to find it. i have already done a search on the board and looked in all the suggested places but i dont even see this plug that some refer to that should be somewhere on the powerhead underneath the flywheel. what i can tell you is that i was told when i bought it that it was an 86 and it was a 115hp. the front cover says 115 "power trim". i need to replace a part on the power trim and have looked on mercruiser parts but none of the power trims look like mine. if anyone is familiar with these motors i would be happy to explain what part i need, but i think a maybe a serial # or part # even, anything at this point.
