I am in the process of getting my trailer registered but I can't seem to read the serial number. I was wondering if there is more than one place where the serial# is stamped on a trailer. If not, does anyone have any suggestions on getting a trailer registered even if I don't have the actual serial number.

Re: SERIAL NUMBERS

Every state has differant laws on this.
Call you local DMV.
As Wayne said no problem here in Fl. Most older trailers are missing their Ser #. Mine is listed as Homebuilt with my SS# on the Reg.
Makes it great when to trade trailers just move the tag to the new trailer.
Alabama is even better trailers are not Reg.

Re: SERIAL NUMBERS

Try taking a tracing of the numbers. You might be surprised of how well they can show up.
