hi folks, new to this forum and new to outboards. i just bought a 75 hp merc oil injected on a pontoon. i knew going in that it has low compression so it needs work. never thought to look for serial number plate and it seems to be missing. is this stamped someplace? the wiring harness has a date of 2004 on the tag so i'm thinking around that year. i will be getting a service manual when i find the year and number. most likely will be seeking more help as this project moves on. thanks for the help in advance.
