serial number

how do you find a serial number on a 1964 seafarer starcraft aluminum boat if the capacity plaque is no longer on the boat. if it helps is a 14 ft boat. i dont know if they even had serial numbers on the boat back then, help would be apreciated , thanks.

On my 64 Jet Star, the serial number WAS on the capacity plate...not to be confused with the HIN#, which it didn't have. The SN must have been for Starcraft's internal use.
