Serial Number ?

i have an 83 mercury 2 stroke 35. Im looking the serial number on it and on the plate it says serial number A122137 im looking at getting parts for it on usboatersupply.com and i cant find matching serial #. Any help would be appreciated

It is a 1985 model.

Put a 0 (zero) in front of the 'A' or try your search with this model number,
