Serial number Problem miss section very very hot

My sticker says OT080686 in serial box and the box under it has 2000 8M and year says 99. Why when I go to any mercury sites trying to order parts the sites tells me no serial number found.

Miss section of the motor is too hot to touch after 2000ft wide open... but the water coming from power head is still cool maybe 20 degree warmer than the lake water...ready to drop this motor in the lake and by a 20hp honda 4 stroke.

Your serial number comes up fine for me.. Sometimes you have to put a number 0 instead of a letter O at the starting of the serial number while doing a search.

FT used "ZERO"TXXXXXX, not "OWE"TXXXXXX. Merc numbers don't start with "OWE". Look at your tag - The only letter is a T.

Unfortunately iboats doesn't have an area to input OEM serial numbers to do this search. The system requires other methods to find your engine model but trust GA_Boater and I that the parts link provided is the correct parts catalog part number for your engine model... (PARTS MANUAL Part # 90-803024 covers engines 6/8/9.9/15 HP.
