Looking for the serial number on a 1977 reinell 23' cabin cruiser. All I can find is the model number by the throttle. There's a serial number on the engine but I don't think NY dmv will take that.

Reinell serial number location?

I have a 77 reinell 23' cabin cruiser. Im trying to find the serial number on it for the DMV and all i can find is the model number on the tag by the throttle. The engine has a serial number can i use that number because the boat is so old?

I merged your duplicate threads. Only really need to post the question once.

What does the previous owner's registration paperwork say?

It doesnt have a registration. i have a bill of sale and i talked to the dmv about registering it as a salvage and they said they need some paperwork filled out by the both of us with the serial number and a picture of the serial number.

Re: serial number on a reinell

Reinell stampped them into the hull on a lot of their boats. Mine is just below the rub rail on the back of the boat starboard side. Look close because they don't stand out that much.
