Serial Number Location

I am wanting to purchase a manual for my 90 HP Mercury, but evidently I need the serial number on the motor to order one. I am not sure where to locate the number. Can someone help me locate the serial number?

On the front of the motor on the outside, look on top of the transom bracket.
