Had a inflatable in the past with a little 6hp nissan

Just picked up a Tohatsu Duras 104 (10’4”) inflatable with a 9.8 engine and took it out for first time. The tiller steering is unbelievably sensitive, to the point that I’m afraid to let my wife drive it. Can anything be done about this?
should I cut down the anode trim tab? Would that help? I’m gonna tighten ups the steering itself so movements aren’t as quick but that’s only going to do so much.

maybe they just ride like this and I have to get used to it??

Welcome to Iboats,

There's a nut located side of the swivel bracket to adjust the tiller load, turn nut CW if wanting more steering load. If having the OB Owner's Manual check that info there....
